Maya Rochat

A plastic tool

16.05 — 31.05.15

Book launch: on Saturday May 15th, at 5 p.m.

The Centre d'Art Contemporain Genève is happy to present A plastic tool, an exhibition by Maya Rochat, artist in residence at the Centre, which will be opening on May 16th 2015, during the Nuit des musées at the Project Space. In A plastic tool, pictures –which are seen as visual and plastic tools– question, inspect and impose themselves on various rhythms and supports. The result builds an environment, where the overprinted motifs are to be experimented physically.

The exhibition is structured around multiple events:

“A plastic tool” by Meta Books

“A plastic tool” Video installation
From May 16th to May 31th

These screenings invite the spectator to the reading of a poetic and contemplative tale. The digital collage, fusions of slow pictures and contradictory universes, create a mutant and saturated composition.
Video collage with additional pictures from Nagi Gianni, Victoria Corà, Carmen Jaquier & Aamen family.

“A plastic tool” featuring Bermudaa (AB records – Lyon).
on Sunday May 17th, at 4 p.m.

It's going to be great! Come, chill out and have a cocktail!
