After a successful solo exhibition, the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève continues its collaboration with Miroslav Marsalek – aka Mirek – by offering the public the opportunity to become familiar with his skills in drawing classes (from 16 years old), all year long.
Through his technical skills worthy of the masters of the Renaissance, Mirek conveys his daily observations and experiments through his drawings. In his notebooks, sketches, portraits and calligraphic writings on the most diverse subjects are intertwined: from art history to recipes, from autobiographical notes to quotes from poets and philosophers.
Draw like Mirek
These classes offer an initiation into basic techniques of drawing: the perspective, proportion, volume… Under the guidance of Miroslav Marsalek, the participants will learn to sharpen their visual sense and fine tune their perception to learn how to “see in a better way”. Working from the real or imaginary, each participant is invited to express their creativity and develop a personal style that will take shape in an individual sketchbook.
