The Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève is pleased to present Design in Metamorphosis, an exhibition devoted to the innovative work of Audrey Large and Théophile Blandet.

The creations of Audrey Large and Théophile Blandet carry within them the seeds of our materialistic culture and a society in constant transformation. They are the first derivatives of a future that projects itself into the present to create a fluid language that, paradoxically, combines extreme oppositions: the intangible and the tangible, the unique and the reproducible, the artisanal and the industrial. Looking at the spirit of the times from the angle of alteration, mutation and change, Large and Blandet both pursue a design process marked by a pronounced interest in experimentation. Their objects reveal how design is a pertinent tool for representing and manifesting the ephemeral.

Design in Metamorphosis is a project curated by Barbara Brondi & Marco Rainò. On the occasion of the opening, Marco Rainò invites visitors to a guided tour of the exhibition (in English) at 6:30pm.
